FAQs
What is Naturopathy
and what services do you offer?
Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health that looks at the body as an interconnected system, not just a collection of separate symptoms.
Rather than only focusing on what’s showing up on the surface, I work to understand why your body may be struggling in the first place and what underlying patterns could be contributing to how you’re feeling.
I support women experiencing burnout, anxiety, overwhelm, exhaustion, hormone imbalances, nervous system dysregulation, and stress-related symptoms.
My approach combines evidence-based nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle support, nervous system regulation, and functional testing- while always keeping things simple, supportive, and not overwhelming.
A big focus of my work is helping women regulate their nervous system. When the body has been stuck in stress mode for a long time, it can impact everything -your hormones, energy, sleep, digestion, mood, cycle, and overall quality of life.
Many women I work with feel:
constantly “on” or on edge
wired but exhausted
emotionally overwhelmed
anxious or burnt out
that their hormones have changed and they feel off balance
disconnected from themselves and their body
Together, we look at the bigger picture and gently support the body back toward balance and regulation.
In our sessions, I use deep case-taking and targeted questioning to connect and map the dots across your symptoms, health history, hormones, stress, lifestyle, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing to create an individualised plan that feels realistic and sustainable for you.
Depending on your needs, support may include:
practitioner-grade supplements & herbal medicine
nervous system and lifestyle support
nutrition guidance
pathology & functional testing +interpretation
hormone and body system support
stress & mindset tools
I also work collaboratively alongside your existing healthcare team and any medications where needed.
All consultations are held online via Zoom Australia-wide, so you can access support from the comfort of your own home.
What is functional testing?
Functional testing goes a step further than standard testing you may have had through your GP. While standard blood tests typically assess whether markers fall within a general reference range, functional testing looks more deeply at how your body systems are actually functioning and interacting together.
It helps build a more detailed picture of what’s happening beneath the surface, including patterns in stress load, hormone regulation, nutrient utilisation, and gut health. This may include more in-depth hormone testing (such as cortisol patterns, reproductive hormones, and thyroid function), as well as gut microbiome testing (if there is gut involvement) and other comprehensive panels.
For a naturopath, this level of testing is not just about individual results- it’s about interpreting patterns across multiple systems to understand what may be driving symptoms that seem unrelated on the surface, and how they are connected in the body.
Testing is always guided by your individual needs and what we uncover in your initial consultation. It provides a clearer, more objective picture of what’s happening in your body so we can move beyond guesswork and better understand the root drivers of your symptoms.
For many women experiencing anxiety, burnout, cycle changes, or ongoing fatigue, I may recommend a combination of both basic and functional testing to build a clearer clinical picture.
General blood tests can be arranged through your GP, or for convenience, you can order a low-cost basic blood test online via Instant Scripts (around $24) before your appointment. I will interpret these results with you during your consult, and you’re also welcome to bring any recent results (within the last 3 months) and then we can also see if further functional testing is needed.
All testing is discussed with you first so you feel informed, comfortable, and clear on why it’s being suggested. If budget is a consideration, we can always start with the essentials and build from there.
Can I still see a Naturopath if I am on medications?
Absolutely! Many of my clients take medications for various health concerns. During your consultation, we carefully review any medications you’re on and check for interactions with supplements, herbs, or lifestyle recommendations. This ensures that all support I provide is safe, personalised, and works alongside your current treatment. I believe in a collaborative approach to your health, so you’ll always feel informed and confident about the plan we create together
